ZKTeco is a leading global manufacturer of the security industry’s most comprehensive access control product line. Its products span from simple card access readers to high-tech biometric scanners, walk through metal detectors, x-ray scanners and most recently, body temperature detection.
After 10 years operating in New Jersey, ZKTeco had outgrown its facility and proceeded conducting a nationwide search to relocate its expanding business. Impressed with its budding “Silicon Valley of the East” reputation, the company selected Alpharetta over top contenders, including Austin TX, Raleigh, NC and Silicon Valley California. Enthralled with so many famous technology companies that call Alpharetta home, ZKTeco is excited to now be part of it.
ZKTeco acquired and completely renovated its 35,000 sq. ft. building, which is now home to its new U.S. headquarters. The building contains corporate offices, huge warehouse, spacious customer training facility, and a spectacular user experience center. Visitors can experience live hands-on demonstrations of a variety of access control solutions (for doors, gates, elevators, etc.), turnstiles, walkthrough metal detectors and x-ray package scanners which incorporate the latest advancements in integrated biometric authentication and body temperature detection technology.
Larry Reed joined ZKTeco in 2005 as VP of Sales when it was a small technology integrator. Today, as CEO of ZKTeco USA, he presides over the company’s U.S. operations, including 30 manufacturers reps across the country. After arriving in Alpharetta, Larry wanted to get a better understanding of the community and its needs, which led him to Karen Cashion, CEO of Tech Alpharetta. Larry was impressed with Tech Alpharetta’s members and quality of events. In January 2020, he proudly joined the organization’s Strategic Board of Directors.
