FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Company is the 8th Graduate of Tech Alpharetta’s Innovation Center

Alpharetta, Ga. (Dec. 10, 2018) – Tech Alpharetta, the nonprofit organization helping the City of Alpharetta to lead in innovation, announces the most recent graduate from its Innovation Center, DataSeers. The program’s eighth graduate, the fintech startup is relocating to a new 2,000-square foot headquarters in Alpharetta in December 2018. The Tech Alpharetta Innovation Center is a thriving tech startup incubator in Alpharetta that provides educational, mentoring, and other resources to its fifty startup members to help them to grow and succeed.

Following DataSeers’ launch in March 2017, the startup saw rapid growth during its time at Tech Alpharetta. To continue its domestic and international expansion, the company plans to increase its team by 50 percent in the next six months. Following the opening of its new Alpharetta headquarters, DataSeers plans to open an office in Mumbai, India in 2019, allowing the startup to enter the Asia-Pacific region, and the international market.

“We were blessed to be part of Tech Alpharetta family, from day one the experience has been incredibly rewarding,” says Adwait Joshi, founder and CEO of DataSeers. “The investment, networking and mentorship opportunities that Tech Alpharetta offers are extremely valuable for startups. It’s bittersweet moving out of the Innovation Center, but a huge success for the company at the same time.”

DataSeers was established to transform the way data is analyzed by providing a simple solution for some of the most complex problems. The company works with the banking and payments industry to assist with issues like compliance, reconciliation, fraud and analytics. Its product, FinanSeer, is based on HPCC Systems, a big data technology from LexisNexis Risk Solutions.

FinanSeer is an artificially intelligent appliance that uses complex machine learning algorithms to detect anomalies in data. It is capable of detecting fraudulent behavior, many times even before it happens. In 2019, DataSeers is focusing its efforts toward tackling issues such as drug and human trafficking. “These are very serious issues and we have so much data that we feel can make a significant impact in eliminating these problems,” adds Joshi. “We want to do whatever we can to make this world a better and safer place.”

“The Tech Alpharetta community will miss having the DataSeers team in our Innovation Center, but we’re honored to have played a role in their journey,” shares Karen Cashion, CEO of Tech Alpharetta. “DataSeers is a true testament to what we’re working to achieve for all of the startups in our incubator. We’re very proud of what DataSeers has accomplished, and we’re excited to watch DataSeers continue to grow here in Alpharetta.”
