All of us are always selling. It starts in early childhood with asking for a new toy or to stay up late. We are constantly selling to others from our significant others, to our bosses and employees, and to our customers. Some of us wear the official label of Sales Rep.
There are probably more books and consultants on sales than any other business topic. Unfortunately, the “one size fits all” approach to the “art of selling” does not work. What works for one of us in a particular situation may be totally inappropriate in others. Carefully pick your approach based on your specific situation. Leave most of those sales books on the shelves.
